Hello, Everybody!
We are still working on getting all the Auction items out to the winning bidders, so we don't have any final numbers yet, (and I will update the ticker when we do) but it is looking like the night was a huge success!
Thank you so much to everyone who turned out, people who couldn't turn out but helped spread the word, to all of the volunteers who lent a hand (you guys are ROCKSTARS!), to everyone who made a donation, to Blaze and Kelly & Hey V Kay for providing great music, and especially to Liquid for donating that amazing space for us to use!
Thank you also to Dana, who got the ball rolling on this whole thing, and did a TON of work making sure that it ran smoothly :) Lastly, Thank you to Kelly who did a fantastic job as our MC, and helping run the event. We love you guys!
Just in case anyone was wondering, it is looking like we managed to raise over $2,000 to help Angela! She is incredibly grateful, and still doesn't quite believe it happened! :)
In addition to updating the site with the final donation tally once we get it, I plan on leaving up the Paypal button in case anyone who couldn't make the benefit wanted to make a contribution down the road.
I will also be using the site to keep you all updated on Angela's condition, and any treatment that she is able to receive because of your generosity, so please continue checking back!
Again, thank you, and we love you all!
Thank You Comments

Molly Hudson and Nathan Polnow donation
Good morning!
I just received a donation at work that I wanted to share...these are pretty stunning paintings. I might have to turn them the wrong way around, because everyone who walks by my little cubicle is stopping and asking about them!
The first one is by the lovely Molly Hudson, and has a gorgeous firey sky
And the second one is by her friend, Nathan Polnow, and uses some really great colors in the sky as well!
Both paintings are on 18x24 canvas.
Thanks guys!

Kat Wiese donation of AWESOMENESS
Ok, in the interest of full disclosure, I am just going to come right out and tell you that this is my absolute favorite donation. Mostly because I want it for myself :) My extremely generous friend, Kat Wiese has donated this beauty...but "what is it?" you ask?
well, it comes in this completely normal looking box (complete with 2 locks...and the keys that match!)
nothing too impressive, right? But what's this when you open it? A tray containing a Singer instruction manual (the most recent copyright date in the manual is 1947 FYI) for a model 221-1, a very old tube of Singer motor lubricant, and various bobbins and sewing machine feet.
...and then, you lift out the tray, and this gorgeous piece of history resides inside. The best part? It still runs. No, scratch that. it doesn't run. it PURRS. It even still has the matching Singer pedal!
In case you can't tell, this one really has me wishing I had money to spare hahaha.
Thanks, Kat!
This thing is truely incredible, and I really hope it finds a home with someone who truely appreciates its beauty and keeps it in its current pristine condition!

Bustin out of Boise donation
The local non profit, Bustin out of Boise had made a generous donation of a round of golf at River Birch golf course, complete with a super cute frame! Check out their website and please consider supporting them it is a great cause! (click!)
Miscelaneous donations, courtesy of Linda Alexander and friends!
Angela's mom has gotten together some pretty cool donations for us as well!
First off, these great vintage carved quail...the wood is so beautiful, I wish it would translate better to a picture. They are pretty hefty and about 6-8 inches tall. Very cool!
She also got us this interesting clay sculpture. For some reason, it reminds me of the round ladies from the movie "the Point." click here to see a clip (skip to about 3:45) and see what the heck I'm talking about haha :)
And Cecelia has donated a couple of wonderful, batiked wall hangings as well!
Thanks, Ladies!

Liby Ball donation!
Hello!
My friend Liby Ball (click here to check out her Etsy store, Dirty Porcelain), who gave the benefit a shoutout on her video blog, multicraftual, as mentioned here: click! has done yet another good deed, and mailed us a lovely package of donations, just in time!
She sent us 4 of her lovely crocheted hats (in various sizes and colors, and all made with super soft yarn!)
and this amazing, flowy tiered skirt! It even has a drawstring waist, so it is one size fits most! (the red stripes on the skirt are this wonderful, faux-suede type fabric that is just oh so soft!)
Be sure to check out her etsy, as mentioned previously (click here), or go give her some much deserved love on facebook (click here) and check out some of her amazing seamstress work!
Thanks Liby!

Nikki Prindle donation part 1
Hello, there :) This donation is from me...
I am going to be making up a bunch of different monsters and critters like this one, and various other things to be in both the auction and the raffle.
I have been calling this guy Harvey, but if you come down and win him, you can call him whatever you want! (and yes, that is a top hat :) )

Volunteer update!
Click the image to see the big version! |
We still need another responsible adult who happens to be good at counting, and doesn't plan on taking too much advantage of the bar setting ;) to be a cashier.
Another runner, and someone else to help out with raffle sales wouldn't be an entirely bad idea, but beggars can't be choosers :)
If your name isn't on the list and you might be interested in helping out, please leave a comment, or click here to shoot me an email!
Thanks everyone!

Super sized donation from Becky Prindle
Nikki here!
Happy 4th of July, everyone! We have a fairly substantial donation today from my mother, Becky Prindle. (This is going to be an extremely picture heavy post, just to warn you!
First off, she has donated a ton of jewelry she has made. I'm not entirely sure what everything is made of yet, but I know that the things which look like pearls are in fact pearls (freshwater I believe), and the crystals are Swarovski. I will be checking on what the stones are, and should have some answers by the Auction :) Still not entirely sure how we are going to be using these, but I'm thinking some will be for the raffle, and some will be just plain sold...We'll see :) (If anyone has suggestions, let me know!)
She also donated a TON of her amazing handmade cards,
so I divided them up into three 45 card sets. The idea is that they are a year's supply of greeting cards. Each set has: 2 fall/harvest cards, 3 halloween cards, 9 holiday cards, 1 valentine, 3 easter cards, 2 Teacher Appreciation cards, 1 Wedding card, 1 Anniversary card, 2 Thank You cards, 12 Birthday cards, and 9 blank cards. Rather than take pictures of all 135 cards (Yikes!), I just photographed some of my favorites:
Thanks, Mom!
